On Tuesday Danish businesses and startups from the Impact Growth community met up to inspire and create new connections. The seminar was held by Accelerace who have an ongoing collaboration with Impact. Acclerace was nominated the best accelerator program in 2017. And there was plenty to learn no matter if you were a startup or a corporate business, with mingling and talks from David Ventzel and the well-respected Fei Chen.

The seminar took place at the shared office space community Symbion at Østerbro in Copenhagen. Among the participants were representatives from many major Danish corporations, who wanted to look further into how they could collaborate with upcoming startups.

Fei Chen opened the seminar by talking about how startups and larger companies can work together successfully around new innovations and achievements.

She has years of experience in innovation management, and has since 2013 been Vice President for New Business R&D at Haldor Topsøe.

Fei Chen made some good points in her talk“mistakes are okay, as long as you learn from them” and “to succeed you need patience, clever and luck” Chen said in her talk. It was clear that she had a good understanding of what it is like working at a startup, and that she understood the challenges of finding the right partners to collaborate with from both the perspective of a bigger business and from the perspective of the startup.

The winners pitch
The following 8 startups where invited to come pitch their idea. All winners from different categories in last years Impact competition.
